As my trip to India drew closer I got more into watching Indian films and around a week before we set off I sat down with my mum to watch ‘Piku’ one of the Bollywood films on offer on Netflix. I’d had it added to my list for a while but hadn’t got round to it until then. My mum also enjoys similar films to me and I’d been waiting to watch it with her. ‘Piku’ is a 2015 comedy-drama starring Deepika Padukone and Amitabh Bachchan and Irrfan Khan (Slumdog Millionaire, Life of Pi, The Lunchbox – which I reviewed…

OH YES LESS THAN 3 BLOODY WEEKS TO GO! In exactly one week I will have left my job and in just under 3 I’ll be on a plane flying to Kerala to start our 7 month adventure round Asia. Also Leonardo DiCaprio, I don’t think I need to say anything more. The film is directed by Danny Boyle, and is adapted from the book by Alex Garland. It stars Leo as Richard, an American traveller who travels to Thailand in search of something different and more exciting than his day to day…
